The action takes place at Edgbaston, Birmingham — May 12, 2025. On Sunday, Pakistan’s speedster Hasan Ali stunned everyone by bowling a hat-trick that helped Birmingham Bears beat Derbyshire Falcons by 58 runs in the Vitality Blast. The Bears have won back-to-back home games, which is giving them a massive lift as they seek a strong outcome in the tournament. The Bears’ bats went off after an outstanding start. Birmingham started with a great score of 199 for six after batting first. Beginning with a quick 79-run partnership from Tom Latham and Alex Davies, the opening foundation for the team was laid.

The experienced Tom Latham played his role very calmly, scoring 58 off 42 balls. Alex Davies aggressively struck the Falcons with his quickfire knock of 49 off 29, almost getting a half-century. Yet, despite Brown taking three wickets, the hosts had ensured that the visitors would need to perform very well—Hasan Ali Rips Up the Falcons With His Career-Best Delivery. The Falcons’ attempt to catch up with the total did not start, ending with just 141 all out after 19.1 overs. In the second over, Hasan Ali lit up Birmingham’s bowling by getting rid of David Lloyd, who had been threatening with 17 runs.

The Derbyshire team was hit hard early, losing four wickets in the first four overs, and attempted to come back from that, but didn’t quite manage it. Ross Whiteley scored 50 runs from 37 balls. Wayne Madsen was able to score 46 runs from just 32 deliveries. But this time around, Hasan showed T20 bowling at its very best in the final overs. Relevant facts: He started by getting rid of Whiteley, followed by Alex Thomson and Ben Aitchison right in a row, which gave him three wickets and won the game for England. The numbers in the end were six hits and 23 strikes, making his T20 best. Garton ties the world record by catching five awards.

To add to all that, George Garton piled on with his feat by matching the world record held by the non-wicketkeepers in T20 cricket. Carlyle made five excellent plays, significantly contributing to the team’s fielding performance. A summary of the match is given. The Birmingham Bears made 199 runs for the loss of 6 wickets off 20 overs. Tom Latham made a total of 58 runs (42 runs at the time). Alex Davies has 49 (29) caps to his name. Pat Brown is among the longest-serving governors of California, with 3/40 of the state’s governorships in his record. The Derbyshire Falcons were bowled out for 141 runs (in 19.1 overs). Ross Whiteley scored a total of 50 runs, of which 37 were boundaries. Wayne Madsen has posted a score of 46 (32). Hasan Ali got six goals on the 23rd (with a hat-trick). George Garton made five catches in 2007. Birmingham Bears ended up winning by 58 runs.
