Pakistan, with a masterful six-wicket victory over South Africa, moves forward to the tri-nation series final. Both Captain Mohammad Rizwan and vice-captain Salman Ali Agha remained unbeaten and scored hundreds. Their flawless batting resulted in Pakistan’s excellent performance.
Besides a good start, South Africa batted the first inning after winning the toss and gave themselves a tough target of 353 runs; while a good start, Pakistani bowlers were crucial wicket-takers at key moments. The first wicket to go was Tony de Zorzi after being caught by Agha Salman off Shaheen Shah Afridi
Temba Bavuma seemed to be the best player on the team, and he scored 82 runs, but he was run out by Saud Shakeel. Matthew Breetzke scored 83 runs before being caught by Agha Salman off Khushdil Shah. Wiaan Mulder did not make much of an impression, scoring only two runs, and was eventually caught by Shaheen Afridi.
Heinrich Klaasen was very skilled in playing, and he scored 87 runs when he was caught by Shaheen Afridi off Naseem Shah. Kyle Verreynne, the most wicked batsman with 44 runs, remained unbeaten, and Corbin Bosch had 15 not out. Pakistan, chasing the target in the 49th over, scored with four wickets.
