Babar Azam, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, requested that fans stop calling him “King.” He believes that this title is only deserved when a player plays a significant role on the field. The star player is focused on scoring more runs to help his team be successful.

Speaking after a match against South Africa in Karachi, Azam discussed his batting mindset.  He explained his start-up to get a feel for the game and his approach to building the game.  Furthermore, he also admitted that he was unable to doubt his power to complete the innings.

Azam talked about the opening position, which he was given at the team’s request. Furthermore, he thanked his partners, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman, for their contribution. He thinks their performances enhance the overall team spirit.

Azam discussed his commitment to self-improvement and the team’s form.  He stated that he feels mad when he fails to take small opportunities. He disclosed his efforts to examine his game and find the best ways to deal with these issues.

Azam drew attention to the importance of focusing on the present rather than looking into what has happened in the past. In his view, every day is a new start and requires a different approach and mindset. He said past wins should not make people overconfident and that little progress is discouraged.

Finally, Azam’s main idea focused on the significant impact of chasing big targets and winning on the team. He finds such victories to be a big boost to the players’ morale.  He thinks that strong self-belief is a key criterion for future success.
