    Australia to tour Pakistan for white-ball series in 2026, confirms CA

    Todd Greenberg, Chief Executive Officer of Cricket Australia (CA), announced that the men’s national team will travel to Pakistan in early 2026 for three white-ball matches, adding another chapter to the developing relationship between the nations. Speaking at a press conference held online, Greenberg expressed excitement about the tour and emphasized that CA is committed to strengthening its ties with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

    I expect a good trip, just like the ones before. Greenberg said that the series is an essential part of our routine. He stated that the two boards continue to co-operate and said he hopes for greater competition between the two top teams. “The discussion about the red-ball and white-ball series between Pakistan and Australia has been smooth. Looking for more games between us is important and something we are sure to do.” Thinking back on the 2022 Tour. The previous trip to Pakistan by Australia this year marked the end of a 24-year gap.

    The tour with three Tests, three ODIs, and a one-off T20I was acclaimed for offering good matches and being met with kind hospitality by the hosts. Greenberg looked back on the success of the 2022 tour with happiness. In 2022, we got the opportunity to perform in Pakistan again, this time with a warm welcome. “It would be great to keep such tours going,” he mentioned. More Interest in Pakistani Cricket Players for BBL. Apart from announcing the tour, Greenberg highlighted how Pakistani talent is increasingly appealing to the Big Bash League (BBL). He said Cricket Australia is making efforts to invite more Pakistani stars into its top T20 event. Pakistani players are very well-liked by the community. Greenberg believes that if top Pakistani players participate, they will undoubtedly enjoy the competition, and the league will benefit significantly.

    While the names were not mentioned, Greenberg openly stated that talks are underway and CA is optimistic about inviting several Pakistani cricketers to participate in the upcoming BBL season. Recently Notable Rivalries Touring Australia in November 2024, Pakistan marked Mohammad Rizwan’s debut with a 2-1 win and their first ODI series success on Australian land since 2002. The Aussies made a comeback, taking all three T20I games to clinch the series 3-0. Information about Tours as Provided by FTP The Future Tours Programme (FTP) for 2025–27 set out by the ICC shows that Australia is due to tour Pakistan in February and March 2026. You will be playing three One-Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals in this tour. It should boost cricket relations and allow supporters in India and Australia to enjoy exciting international matches.
