    Arshad Nadeem wins gold at Asian Athletics Championship with 86.40m throw

    The men’s javelin competition at the Asian Athletics Championship 2025 saw Arshad Nadeem, a Pakistani star, achieve a gold medal and break the tournament record with a throw of 86.40 meters. Going to the Olympics in Korea for the first time since Paris, the determined Nadeem came back brimming with passion and determination. Nadeem showed he is one of Asia’s best javelin throwers by performing brilliantly as the crowd sang “Dil Dil Pakistan” at Gumi Sports Complex. An amazing victory after a great struggle.

    Arshad threw 75.64m and 76.80m for his opening practice throws, steadily getting used to the conditions. Before his final jump, he had already passed his earlier best in the event, which was 85.57m. His decisive throw of 86.40m in round six earned him a gold medal, and that was it. Following a record-setting toss of 86.34m in the qualification round, Olympic champion Leticia questioned his competitors and set himself as the number one contender. National Pride and Honoring the local people felt proud and joyful when they heard how Nadeem had won.

    The Chairman of the South Asian Athletics Association, Major General (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi, commended the athlete and said the win made everyone proud. Similarly, President of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan, Brigadier (R) Wajahat Hussain Sahi, said the achievement made every Pakistani feel proud and was a moment of glory for all Pakistanis. Other AFP officials, including Secretary Colonel (R) Shah Jehan, praised Arshad for his courage and never-giving-up attitude. Looking ahead, because he won the Asian title and Paralympic gold, Arshad Nadeem is now favored to do well in the upcoming World Athletics Championships. What he has accomplished inspires both Pakistani athletes and sports fans all around Asia. Arshad’s incredible throwing arm keeps raising the Pakistani flag with every accomplishment.
