RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially declared on Wednesday that the highly-awaited Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) Season 10 will begin with a grand and star-studded opening ceremony at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on April 11.
This will be the first time that Rawalpindi will host the PSL’s opening ceremony, and it is sure to up the atmosphere with an explosion of music, culture, and cricket for the fans.
Famous Artists Lineup
The PCB’s official press release, opened by the Board, has a note that the ceremony will start at 7:00 PM, and the audience will be presented with live performances from the best-known artists in Pakistan. The devices of performers include:
- Abrar ul Haq
- Ali Zafar
- Natasha Baig
- Talha Anjum
- Kalam-e-Sufi, female vocalist Abida Parveen
- Youth performers of rap, Young Stunners
These singers have also grouped together to make PSL 10’s X Dekho the official anthem, which will also be the key highlight of the day. The fans should expect all types of music, like Sufi, pop, rock, and hip-hop, to be there, which will beautifully reflect the country’s music and culture.
First Game After Opening
The first match of the PSL 10th series will be played following the ceremony. This game is the opening duel of the tournament and will be held twice between the present champions, Islamabad United, and the title winners, Lahore Qalandars. The game is scheduled to kick off at 8:30 PM, in the lights, at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
